The Capacitor Discharge weld pins is a mild steel, stainless steel or aluminum weld pin that
is ideal to apply with pin welding or stud welding equipment. Manufactured with a standard
capacitor discharge weld tip and flange, the Capacitor Discharge weld pins is popularly used
as an insulation fastener, in combination with self locking washers (or “speed clips”) to
secure insulating material.
We recommend Capacitor Discharge weld pins for welding to clean surfaces.
For difficult surfaces the “Power Base” weld pin is designed to weld through paint and rust
to eliminate grinding of the base metal. Both are available in various diameters and lengths.

attach the self-locking washer.
2) Nail point is standard - available with "blunt end" as special order.
3) Capacitor Discharge weld pins simplify the permanent attachment of insulation to just about
any kind of construction metal surface.
4) They can be applied quickly and easily using standard CD or Arc stud welding equipment.
5) Weld Pins are available in different styles to cover a wide variety of applications.
